Indianapolis, IN — August 1, 2005 — On July 12th Five oil wells were sabotaged and set on fire by the Revolutionary Armed Forces (FARC), in Putumayo state in southern Columbia. Cudd Pressure Control of Houston, Texas dispatched a team to battle the damaging fires. Cudd transported over 40-tons of equipment to Colombia including portable high volume pumping systems manufactured by Peerless Pump Company. The Peerless Engineered Systems (PES), has proven to be some of the most valuable fire-fighting weapons used by Cudd Well Control, the world's largest oil well fire fighting company.
Originally purchased by Cudd for oil well fire countermeasures during Operation Iraqi Freedom the systems were designed and built for rugged transportability and reliable service.
According to Gabe Gibson, Cudds's Senior Well Control Engineer, Peerless products performed flawlessly even in the harsh Amazon environment, even after being by transport plane, heavy-lift helicopters and dragged by bulldozer through the mud. Mr. Gibson contacted Peerless upon his return to say ".I could not believe have well they (the pumps) performed.they handled all the abuse we could give them."
This is just another example of Peerless Pump Company products leading the way in the fire pump marketplace.
